It is customary for The Advocate at this time of year to honor those young adults of this town who are making their way into higher education, and mark their progress in these pages:
Graduates from the ConVal Class of 2012
Hilary Bourgoine…
…plans to go to NHTI next year to get an associates degree in Addictions Counseling. She then plans to transfer to Keene State for a bachelor’s degree in Substance Abuse and Addictions Counseling. Helping others is something she says she has always wanted to do.
Nathan Brown…
…plays alto saxophone and as a sophomore at ConVal took up the baritone sax. He was involved in the ConVal drama program by participating in the spring musical for the past four years. Nathan will attend Keene State College in the fall and plans to major in either Business or Film.
Taylor Clough…
will be studying at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, next year. She will major in Athletic Training with a concentration in either pre-physical therapy or pre-occupational therapy. She’s hoping to play tennis at the intramural level, and study abroad for a semester.
Ethan Featherston…
…just returned from a week-long German club visit to Salzburg. He will attend Alderleaf Wilderness College in Washington for a nine-month Wilderness Survival course. He is hiking the Long Trail in Vermont after graduation. Ethan was accepted at Wentworth Institute of Technology for fall of 2013.
Alex Horn…
…will be receiving the New Hampshire Scholar medallion at graduation. He is enrolled at the University of Buffalo and has the honor of receiving their Provost Scholarship Award. He plans on studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. Alex will continue working at Shaw’s Supermarket through the summer.
Nicholas (Nick) Jadaszewski…
…took Educational Psychology at Franklin Pierce University during his last semester at ConVal. He plays drums with other musicians at various events in the area. He is planning to attend Keene State College in the fall.
Caleb Mattson…
…is accepted at New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord where he will be studying electrical engineering this fall.

Graduates from Fairwood Bible Conference
Two Dublin students are graduating from Fairwood Bible Institute: Kayla Standford and Daniel Adams.

Caroline Clater…
…graduated from Dublin Christian Academy. She will be attending Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, in the fall. Caroline plans to be a diabetes educator.

Riley Anne Ahern…
…graduated in May from Keene State College, where she majored in Dance and Theater. A scholarship program is enabling her to spend the summer in Florence, Italy, and Athens, Greece, to perform in dance and theater.
