Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services (HCS) and the Alzheimer’s Association are presenting a three-part program beginning in April. The program will cover the basics of Alzheimer’s disease, strategies for successful communication and managing behaviors. “Introduction to Alzheimer’s Disease” will be held on April 17; presentations on April 24 and May 1 will focus on family caregivers, and cover communication techniques, behaviors to help reduce stress and increase the quality of life. All sessions will also be held from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at HCS, 312 Marlboro Street in Keene. Residents from all area towns are welcome to attend.

Respite care will be available at no charge at the HCS Castle Center Life Enrichment program.

Those interested in using respite services for a family member must indicate their need when calling for registration. The program is offered as a community service, but registration is necessary as space is limited. Please call 603-606-6590 to register.
