The Dublin Historical Society has a new fundraiser. Instead of the usual calendar this year, it has produced a handsome boxed set of notecards by Dublin artist Abbott Handerson Thayer. The set of 10 notecards and envelopes (two each of five images) include one of Thayer’s angels, an example of protective coloration with Blue Jays, a scene of Dublin Lake, a winter scene of Mount Monadnock and a still life.

When asked why the change away from the successful Monadnock calendar from two years ago, Sarah Bauhan, the DHS vice president, said “We decided to go with something completely different that was affordable and wouldn’t have a sell-by date, but that would have the same appeal.”

The cards are available in many locations including the Archives (located behind the library), the Dublin General Store, Carr’s Store, The Toadstool Bookshop and online at the DHS website www.dublinhistory.org. Proceeds benefit the Dublin Historical Society.
