Sarah Letourneau will attend the Coast Guard Academy’s Youth Leadership Conference February 17-19, 2012 in New London, CT. This conference is led by Coast Guard Cadets and is an organized training to expose young and developing leaders of tomorrow, grades 8-10, to the principles of Coast Guard leadership through interactive engineering and leadership-based activities.

Students will participate in a number of leadership theory discussions as well as team oriented engineering and management exercises. They will also get the opportunity to see how theories they discussed are put into practice on the CG Academy’s own training vessels.

Sarah is 1 of 24 kids chosen from across the US to attend this conference, because she has shown tremendous potential in leadership and academic endeavors.

She is an eighth grader at South Meadow School and has achieved High Honors every semester. She is the daughter of Jim and Becky Letourneau.

Sarah is a member of the Monadnock Squadron of US Naval Sea Cadets Corps, Peterborough, NH.
