Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services (HCS) and the Alzheimer’s Association are presenting a three-part education program beginning in May. The program will cover the basics of Alzheimer’s disease, strategies for successful communication and managing behaviors. Kesstan Blandin, PhD, Program Coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association inNew Hampshirewill be the presenter. “Introduction to Alzheimer’s Disease” will be held on May 15, and will cover the basics of the disease and dementia.

Presentations on May 22 and May 29 will focus on family caregivers, and cover communication techniques, behaviors to help reduce stress and increase the quality of life. All sessions will also be held from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Union Congregational Church,33 Concord StreetinPeterborough.

The program is offered free of charge, but registration is necessary as space is limited. Call 603-606-6590 to register.
