Planting season is almost here. Friends of the Dublin Public Library are lucky to have the editor of the Old Farmers Almanac, Janice Stillman, come tell us what to do about it on Saturday, April 14, at 10 am, in the lower level of the Library.

Janice will share facts and folklore about growing edibles as well as secrets and solutions to common gardening challenges. Tomatoes, composting and soil, companion planting, pots or not — best days to do gardening chores, the moon’s influence, traditional planting methods and newfangled ideas…all will be covered.

In the Almanac spirit, the session will be “useful, with a pleasant degree of humor.”
