The 19th annual Children and The Arts festival will be celebrated in Peterborough on Saturday, May 19th. Thanks to the support of the downtown businesses, the students at the Dublin Consolidated School (DCS) will each have an artwork on exhibit in one of the downtown windows, usually at Fireplace Village on Grove Street. The artwork is displayed for one week prior to the event as well as during the event.

ConVal Art Educator, Carole Storro, began celebrating the event in her art classroom by implementing the year’s theme, which is “Flower Power,” into the artwork that the students created. The 4th and 5th graders will use the theme to cooperatively design and paint a mug board (a large artwork on the surface of a board where there are face cutouts for fun photo opportunities).

Children and the Arts is an all-day, free event for families and always enjoyed by all ages!
