The July Advocate introduces the proprietors of the reopened Dublin General Store, Tyler and Jenna Rich. This is a month of celebration: the library marks its 125th anniversary, and Dublin Community Day happens on July 25.

Also in town news, Susan Peters describes the Monadnock Sustainability Hub’s energy efficiency and electrification projects, and the Waste Reduction and Recycling Committee plans a potluck to celebrate a plastic-free month. Spraying to curtail invasive plants is offered to residents in August, and the library hosts a lecture on native gardens.

To mark the nation’s 250th, the Dublin Historical Society’s Schoolhouse Museum exhibit features town documents from the Revolutionary War period. The same period in the broader Monadnock region is the focus of an exhibit at the Historical Society of Cheshire County. Tom Sileo describes the 1912 visit to Dublin of Abdu’l-Baha.

In school news, Dublin Christian Academy celebrates the 2026 graduating class and makes plans for their annual Stag Stampede. ConVal School Board representative Mary Armstrong thanks district teachers at all levels for nurturing our students’ individuality. The Trustees of the Trust Funds and the Dublin Community Foundation award scholarships. Meanwhile, Dubliner Sydney Rousseau graduates with honors from New York University.

July is a busy month at the DubHub. In addition to the usual classes and events, former Dubliner Maryann Mullett shows her pastel paintings, and musicians Paul Klemperer and Dan Fox offer a workshop on jazz techniques and are featured at the monthly Coffee House & Open Mic.

Another former Dubliner, Abbie Leigh Hixson, describes her efforts to raise awareness about endometriosis. The River Center offers summer programs for families.

July cultural opportunities abound: weekly lectures at the Monadnock Summer Lyceum and Amos Fortune Forum; two plays at the Peterborough Players; movies, concerts, and performing arts camp at the Park Theatre; and a Summer Guest Artist Series at the Dublin Community Church. In addition, MAXT offers classes and workshops for young and old.

And it’s July – the Dublin Women’s Community Club beach is open for a swim!
